What does your free delivery service cover?


We offer FREE delivery on ALL orders to UK Mainland addresses.

We use a next working day delivery service for all UK Mainland deliveries so many orders are received NEXT WORKING DAY.

Charges for delivery to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Scilly, the Channel Islands, and all other countries are based on the total weight of your order and will be calculated when you check out of the online shop.

When will my order be delivered?


All orders are delivered from Monday to Friday, between 8.00am and 5.30pm.

We will email you a dispatch confirmation with our carrier's tracking number when your order has left our warehouse. You should receive your order the following working day. You can track your orders movement online using the courier's tracking number.

We quote delivery lead times as:

1 To 3 Working Days : These items are in stock in our own warehouse. Orders received before 4.00pm are dispatched the same day on a next working day courier service, so most of these items are received the NEXT DAY.

3 To 5 Working Days : These items are in stock at our carefully selected suppliers. These orders are usually delivered within five working days.

10 To 14 Days : These are mostly heavy items such as safes and filing cabinets that are shipped directly from our suppliers. We aim to deliver these items within two weeks from receipt of completed order. The delivery day will be booked in with you by phone by our carriers for these items.

Orders requiring workshopping such as fitting non-standard locks to safes, cutting additional keys, or keying alike locks may increase quoted lead times.

How are heavy items like safes delivered?


Heavy items may have the following delivery options displayed in the catalog:

Curbside Drop Off: The item will be dropped off at a ground floor location, where possible at your front door. The carrier will not be able to deliver the item via any stairs or via a lift. You will need to position the item yourself and remove the packing materials.

Ground Floor: Delivery is to your specified position on a ground floor inside your building. The carrier will remove packing materials and position the item. The carrier will not be able to deliver the item via any stairs or via a lift.

Via Lift: Delivery is to your specified position on any floor inside your building where the delivery route includes a lift. The carrier will remove packing materials and position the item. You will need to ensure the lift weight capacity is sufficient and the lift is large enough to accommodate the items ordered. The carrier will not be able to deliver the item via any stairs.

Via Stairs: Delivery is to your specified position on any floor inside your building where the delivery route includes stairs. The carrier will remove packing materials and position the item. The carrier will not be able to deliver the item via any spiral staircases.

With Fixing: The above delivery services may be offered "With Fixing" on certain safes. In this case, our carriers will bolt down the safe into a concrete floor using the manufacturer's bolts supplied with the unit. This service does not include bolting into raised floors such as wooden floorboards, or where underground cables or other obstructions may exist.

Not all delivery services are available for every product. Where possible the price of available delivery services will be quoted on our website. In some cases you may be asked to provide more information by way of a Heavy Goods Delivery Form before we can quote a price for delivery. We may need to arrange for our carriers to visit your delivery address and perform a site survey in order to obtain a delivery quote.

Do you require a signature on delivery?


Yes, a signature is required by our courier. Unfortunately we cannot request our couriers to leave your parcel in a safe place like in your porch or garage. We require your parcel to be signed for. If you expect to be out when the parcel is delivered please use an alternative delivery address when placing your order online.

Alternatively we can instruct our courier to deliver the parcel to your neighbour in case you are out - please use the additional delivery information field when ordering online.

What if nobody is home when the courier arrives?


The courier will leave a card saying they tried to deliver the parcel but nobody was available to sign for it. Please follow the instructions on the card on how to arrange a second delivery, or how to collect the parcel from the courier's local depot.

Unfortunately the delivery address cannot be changed once the order has been dispatched to our courier. You can however request our courier to deliver your parcel to your neighbour in the event that nobody is at the delivery address.

If both delivery attempts fail and the parcel is not collected from the courier's local depot, it will be returned to Saunderson Security.
