Union Launches Award Winning Codehandle

Codehandle, a stylishly designed door handle that, via an integral keypad, provides effective access control for interior doors, has been launched to critical acclaim.

The Codehandle™ grabbed a prestigious Detektor International award at the Sectech security show in October last year. The jury praised the handle for being "a triumph for aesthetics and smart design," and added: "with the CodehandleTM the market has been blessed with an electromechanical solution that suits almost any indoor environment. Simplicity of installation, design and use clearly points to an effective solution for a variety of settings."

This new e-locking solution is controlled with an integral key-pad with five buttons, and is programmable with one mastercode and nine user codes. The solution also offers manual or automatic locking and does not require any wires or special fitting. The handle is powered by two CR2 3V lithium batteries, which last for 100,000 operations. Codehandle is available separately or as part of an elocking Sashlock or Nightlatch pack, featuring UNION cylinders and the popular UNION 2C2 mortice lock range.
