This latest version of the Abus X60 cylinder has a single clutch and features non-handed double cylinders with break points on both sides. The security card provided makes certain that only authorised persons can order a key. A duplicate key is to be produced only after the provision of the original card. The ABUS X60 3* cylinder has now achieved Sold Secure Diamond Standard accreditation from the MLA.

Abus has produced a 10-year warranty on the X60 3 star cylinder and a £1,000 anti-burglary guarantee. This offers homeowner up to £1000 cash if goods are stolen from a property as a result of a burglar managing to snap the cylinder only if has been properly installed, used and maintained.
