The Asec panic bolt set for rebated double doors has a push bar on both doors, one leaf has a bolt that locks into the top and the bottom securing the leaf and the other has a latch that locks into the first leaf. When fitted correctly the device should allow exit to people even if they have no prior knowledge of how the lock works, i.e. they just push the bar. Supplied handed but can be reversed on site.
