The Paxton Net2 Proximity Keypad is a keypad and a proximity reader all in one which allows for proximity card and PIN (or code) access control with a single reader. This key keypad is suitable for use with Switch2 or Net2 systems meaning it can be installed as a standalone keypad via the Switch2 controller or as part of a network system via the Net2 controller. A token is read by holding it within close proximity of the reader. Once a token has been read if the reader has been configured for code/PIN this must then be entered using the keypad. The control unit verifies the information and grants or denies access as appropriate. If access is granted the green LED flashes. If access is denied the red LED flashes. It has backlit keys which enables it to be used in low light and is IPX7 rated making it ideal for installation on outdoor areas as they are moisture resistant. This proximity keypad is supplied with a black bezel that can be fitted in the final stages of installation.
