Wish I would have bought this first!! Bought this one after trying 3 others couple even more expensive.
Used it to find nails on 2000 reclaimed lumber boards before resawing them.
Didn't miss a single one with the Garrett!

We have bought a lot of metal detectors in our business. We sell antique lumber and have to pull nails/screws before selling it. This is the BEST metal detector we have ever owned. So good we bought a 2nd. Very accurate & uses less batteries. Also you can buy the rechargeable battery kit for it.

I've been using this detector to find nails and other hardware embedded in antique 2x4's i've been milling into countertop material. Easily locates even the smallest bits of old lath nails buried beneath the surface . With a little back and forth and some practice you can really hone in on the location of each bit of metal. Goes a long way in saving expensive jointer and planer cutters as well as table saw blades and flying bits of metal.
