The Union keySHIELD Double Cylinder is specifically designed to meet the stringent requirements of the BSI Kitemark Scheme. By offering enhanced protection against the most common cylinder attack methods, keySHIELD exceeds the BSI Kitemark Scheme requirements. The enhanced protection has been gained by using six hardened pins to provide enhanced drill resistance and plug extraction. Furthermore the cylinder has been made bump resistant by incorporating GUARDpin to create an anti-manipulation feature. The cylinder has also been made more difficult to pick with specially shaped pins. KeySHIELD has been tested to BS EN 1303:2005 and the snap resistance is enhanced especially when used with appropriate security escutcheon.
